How many planets are there in our solar system?

Question:
Previously 9 now 8, what happened with pluto?

Answer:
As Pluto do not meet the new definitions and criteria of Planets it is no longer a planet now.
So,now we have only 8 planets in our Solar System
They eliminated it. Basically because Pluto is very different from the other planets in the solar system. firstly, it has a different orbit. and secondly, because it is made up of materials that differ from the other planets.
there are only 8 planets. the planet pluto got graded down to a dwarf planet.
it was demoted because Astronomical Union approved a definition for planets that Pluto failed to meet.

Pluto will now belong to a new category of "dwarf planets," similar to what long have been termed "minor planets."
a "planet has its own orbit. Pluto passes into other planets orbit so it got demoted to dwarf Planet
Pluto was kind of downgraded to the status of asteroid, since it's smaller than a lot of moons and not much larger than its own moon, Charon, not to mention the fact that it can be found in the same general area as one of the solar system's asteroid belts, the Kuiper Belt. Pluto's status as a planet has been hotly debated for a long, long time, and it's probably not going to end here.

However, the International Astronomical Union, an official scientific organization that deals in astronomical nomenclature, recently came up with the designation "dwarf planet" to describe objects like Pluto and to try to put an end to the argument. Officially, there are three dwarf planets in our solar system, but now there are only eight planets. I guess we'll have to edit some more science textbooks, eh?

Pluto was degraded because of its orbital behavior. In true essence every planet has an elliptical orbit. However, no two planets cross each others elliptical orbits. In pluto's case, things are a bit different. its orbit is highly elliptical, so much so that when it is closest to the sun, its distance from the sun is less than that of neptune from the sun, in other words, pluto's orbit passes through neptune's orbit.
Due to this reason pluto was degraded.
no now there r 10 planets because pluto has been declared as an dwarf so it is not considered as a planet now so we were left with 8 planets but scientists have discovered 2 more planets namely plutous and ub-2001 Well, i don't remmber the names exactly but think these r the ones.
now their r 8 planets only pluto was elimimated because its path and other characteristics does not match well what is assign for a astronomical body to be planet
As you know Pluto was eliminated from our solar system as a planet. It was just a large cluster of white dwarfs packed together really tight. I have also hared that it was a piece of a moon. Cut if you ask me I would still consider Pluto a planet, even though they say it's not just because it was a little different from the others.

8.

ACORDING TO THE IAC A PLANET IS HEAVENLY BODY WHICH REVOLVE AROUND THE SUN +WHICH DOES NOT COLLAPSE UNDER ITS HYDROSTATIC FORCE i.e. THEY ARE APPROXIMATELY ROUND IN SHAPE+THEIR ORBIT IS NOT INTERMIXED WITH THE ORBIT OF OTHER CELESTIAL BODY.

AS 3rd POINT IS NOT VALID FOR PLUTO AS ITS ORBIT IN OVERLAPED BY ORBIT OF NEPTUNE+ITS MOON CHARON
