By definition, the answer to your question is "no" since the term "solar" referes to the system around the star "sol" which is our sun. But if you are asking if there are systems of planets orbiting other stars within the galaxy, then the answer is yes. The hubble telescope has seen evidence of planets orbiting other stars. When you considr there are billions and billions of other stars out there, many of which appear like our sun, then odds are good that there is life out there...somewhere. Perhaps there is a distant planet where the zxgsdaers are looking up into their sky wondering if there is life other than on their planet YERFGN
I don't believe anything until I have proof. I don't rule it out as an option, but I don't think I can base decisions on it, or think about it as if it were true without proof.

The universe is a BIG space. Wouldn't it be an awful waste of space if we were the only ones in it.
1. Earth IS the ultimate planet that sustains life. Where is your Earth pride?
2. Yeah there maybe other solar systems, and maybe other planets that sustain life.
since the one star we know a little something about happens to have 4 rocky planets (each wildly different) and 4 gas giants (with over a hundred wildly different moons) it is not much of a stretch to imagine that at least a few of the other hundred BILLION stars right here in our own galaxy support life of some kind, to say nothing of the hundreds of billion starts in each of the other trillions of galaxies scattered all over this unimaginably vast universe of ours. If it turned out that ours was the only planet with so-called "intelligent" life, that would just make me cry.

Yes, of course there are.they are finding there are many many planets in our own galaxy. Stars in other galaxies formed in the same way as those in our galaxy, so its logical to assume they must also have solar systems too.

No personally I wouldn't be. I would think it arrogant as a species to assume that life couldnt possibly be any better than life that emerged from anywhere else. And to assume that this little tiny world could possibly be the only place where life exists seems quite ludicrous. Admittedly finding life elsewhere is difficult and actually going there to see them is even more difficult going by our current state of technology and understanding.
The odds of us being the only people in the Universe or anywhere else is not rational. Of course there is and there is a strong theory that there is another universe. You may not subscribe to this theory but a lot of scientist believe in this theory.
Its almost a certainty that there are other solar systems like ours, not only in other galaxies, But, in our milky way galaxy. You would have to be pretty arrogant to assume that the earth is the ultimate planet in the universe that sustains life. That's not to say the earth is not important. Its pretty darn important to mankind, right now, and if humans keep destroying it, at the present rate, its importance to our survival will become much more evident in the not to distant future.
