non flammable materials are a must

a shoe box inside covered with aluminum foil, and the faces cut out and covered in clear plastic wrap.
just cut the top out, and the four sides. cover them with plastic wrap like windows. making the windows as big as possible, and covering the left over surfaces of the inside with aluminum foil.
It sounds to me like you are going to make a solar oven not a solar house.
The idea above is a pretty good one but you need thicker walls and floor in the house. A cardboard box is not enough to hold the heat.
See if you can find some thin ply wood very thin. Build your house out of it. Get some styrofoam, bunch of Sonic cups or some thing like that will work. Glue the foam a couple of layers thick on the outside of the house. Build an outside shell for the house to cover the foam. Or you could use the foam like siding. Kind of like you do in a normal home. Do use foil on the inside to reflect the light when shineing on it. Put the watter in something painted flat black not clear. This way the heat will build up fast should start to boil in less then 10 minutes. The foam cup will hold the heat and should still be warm a half hour later if not an hour later.
Good luck.
