On earth, some solar radiation is reflected while the rest is absorbed.?

Question:
a) 66 % of all the reflected energy is reflected from the clouds. Explain.
b) 71 % of all absorbed energy is absorbed by the ground. Explain.

Answer:
well i believe it's neither. i don't think that there is either a) enough clouds at any given time to reflect 66% of the energy and b) enough ground to absorb 71% of the energy.

both of the polar ice caps reflect the energy with their white snow, and also most of the earth is covered by oceans that wouldn't easily absorb the solar energy.
Clouds are white; white reflects light well.
The ground is dark, dark colors absorb energy.

To test this, wear white and go out in the sun. Then wear dark, and see how much quicker you feel the heat.
yup.. option b .. 71% is absorbed by the ground.. .
