Does anywone know anything about using a combination of stucco and formcore curtain wall for residential use?

Question:
i need to insulate my home from the ouside and am considering stucco; i want to not only increase the value of the property but also the Rvalue insulation; i also need info on solar panels; does anyone recommend this or any other energy saving tips aside from the standard energy saving windows; please kindly advise; regards rd

Answer:
The stucco(plaster) is good for inner walls. Why ? Because it absorbs the moisture from the inside air when it is in excess and release it when the air is dry. That is not good for outside walls because in spring and autumn the outer air it is full of moisture, the plaster wall absorb it and keep the humidity in the building. For outside, the best are the expanded polystyrene insulation panels, glued with a special mortar to the bricks, or bolted with special bolts, covered with a special plastic mesh and plastered with a special mortar in which you can put the colorant what you choose. It gives a very resistant surface which can be washed many times and don`t need painting. If you use thick insulation panels (8 - 10 cm), you can increase the heat resistance of your home so much that the energy saving is so high, that in a few years pays your investment.
The best solar panel, is what you find in your neighborhood, the shipping increase the price.
