Answer:
Do you really mean plants? If so there are quite a few.
If you meant planets then most people say 9, although there is a big controversy about what makes something a planet. We have discovered another named Sedna and a couple more that may eventually be called planets.
Pluto is generally classified as a planet. Beyond Pluto they have found several other bodies, the most significant of which is 'Sedna'.
There is a new object that may be larger than pluto, calling pluto into question as a planet. There are a ton of objects orbiting our sun, but only 9 are officially planets: Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Pluto, Neptune (current order). Pluto goes in/out of last position every few hundred years.
Well there are 10 or 11 discovered planets in our solar system, and yes Pluto does count as a planet. I heard about 12 years ago, when there were only 9 planets, that they had discovered a new planet past Pluto, and they named it Carla. It was a small planet made entirely of ice. I have also heard on the radio news about 2 months ago that they have discovered another new planet, but I did not hear what they have named this one.
Technicly nine they have found other bodies of mass beyond pluto that still orbit the sun. They actaully think that therye is a tenth planet
