Question:
I was in the US a while ago when I saw what I presumed to be a toy (I'm based in the UK). It was light bulb shaped and had what I would describe as a pin stuck into the base inside of it and on top of this pin was a small dome. Stuck to the sides this dome was 4 diamond shaped pieces of metal, on one side of each it was painted white and on the other side it was painted black.
When you put it in daylight/sunlight the dome would move round quite fast and when it was night it would stop. It work on a principle of the light bouncing off the white sides which made it move.
I found this quite intersting and was thinking of purchasing one but I don't know what they are called. Any ideas?
