What are the planets of the solar system?
Question:
Answer:
Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto
Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto
Mercury
Venus
Earth
Mars
Jupiter
Saturn
Uranus
Pluto
Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto
MERCURY, VENUS, EARTH , MARS, JUPITER, SATURN, URANUS, NEPTUNE AND PLUTO
Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto
While those 9 are the generally accepted ones, there's now a big debate among astronomers about whether they should add more or drop Pluto. The reason is that other objects orbiting the Sun have been found in the same region of space as Pluto, called the Kuiper Belt, and one (nicknamed Xena) is actually bigger than Pluto.
So some people think they should include all the "Kuiper Belt Objects" over a certain size as planets, and others think they should leave them all out -- which would mean Pluto wouldn't be considered a planet anymore.
