How are some planets/objects in the outer solar system covered in water ice. Where did the water come from?


Question:
In a recent article on the BBC science page regarding both the declassification of Pluto, an ice covered object, and a rugby ball shaped planet also covered in water ice, it posses the question where the water came from?

Answer:
The sun and the planets where created from a protoplanetary disk. When the sun "switched" on all the water within a certain radius sublimated and was driven out towards the outer edge whee it formed comets and Kuiper belt objects as well as coating moons etc.
Everything, including you and me, originated from the Big Bang.

The water was created when oxygen and hydrogen atoms combined...the same way that water was created here on Earth.
