It's my understanding that we don't belong to a constellation, but a galaxy. This would be the Milky Way galaxy. Constellations refer to the divisions of the sky from the earth. The zodiacs are constellations, Virgo, Gemini, Taurus.

It's not in any constellation. The various planets and the sun seem to move through the constellations of the zodiac. The point is that the constellations are regions of stars *as seen from the earth*. If you went to another solar system, the patterns of stars would be different, and we'd probably invent different constellations, even though the stars themselves would be the same.
Our Solar System doesn't belong to any constellation. Constellations are star patterns as viewed FROM the Solar System. Of course some alien on some planet many light years away might see our sun as part of some constellation.
None. Constellations are only relative to earth. In a few million years, none of the constellations will be recognizable because stars move. Or if you went to another planet in a different solar system on a different plane relative to earth, the constellations would appear a bit different.

Constellations are simply patterns which the ancient civilizations saw in the stars. Since the sun is too close to be seen as a mere "star" it's not in a constellation.
Constellations are a series of stars that make up a certain pattern (like the Big Dipper or Orion). Our solar system is one star and (traditionally) 9 planets. So our solar system does not technically belong to a constellation.
