If I bought a plot of land to just put up solar panels, do you think I could turn a profit by selling the nrg?

I highly doubt it would be profitable at this point; solar panels still are not efficient enough to extract enough energy to sell. Wind turbines on the other hand will turn a profit as long as your land is in decent enough area.
Not quite yet, the solar panels are too expensive.
Burning oil is cheaper, which is why we do it. Increased oil prices and global warming will change that, but not quite yet.
But people can put solar panels on their house, use the energy when they need it, and sell it to the power company when they don't. Still not a big moneymaker but a reasonable way to go.

i seriously doubt you can sell it to the government...you could probably sell it to private parties but you would have to have a way to connect into their homes.
I wouldnt hold my breath on this.you are probably better off grown apples or oranges...
Better idea would be to use wind power if you could. Much more efficient and can turn out much more electricity than solar panels.
I don't know but I had the exact same thought myself today.
