What can you tell me about "Solar recharable batteries" for a digital camera?

Question:

Answer:
My sister had a solar recharger for use when out in the country where regular power outlets are hard to find.

She found out that she could drain the batteries faster than the solar charger could bring them back, so she ended up just carrying extra charged up batteries anyway. The solar charger might be nice for a camera that you don't take many pictures with, or for emergencies, or if you plan on being away from an outlet for more than a few days. Other than that, don't bother.
I don't know anything about solar recharble batteries, but you can get a recharger from any radio shack. You can buy four rechargable batteries and they should last you for at least a couple years. The one I have is for double A batteries. It's works well with digital cameras, and with anything that takes double A batteries.
