How good do solar panells work in the North East?
Question:
Answer:
North east what??
If it's the north east of my country I wouldn't recommend it since we don't get a heck of a lot of sun. (I'm in luck, the past week has been nice)
My neighbor here in Ohio built a house and had those installed. They have cut his electric bill in half. So I think they do help allot. Especially with energy bills on the rise.
All solar systems for heating and electricity work well with the correct installation .There are manufacturers out there that have several systems available for any application around the world .
You can find them even in magazines like MOTHER EARTH NEWS,SCIENTIFIC AMERICAN,or you can go to [ ask.com ]to find all of the manufacturers and their findings on the subject .
The installation angle has a lot to do with it. The panels MUST be angled to catch as much sun as possible. They have to be low enough to catch the "low" sun in Winter, but also high enough to catch the "high" sun in Summer.
they work fine if you dont have a lot of stuff on. they are not really ment to supply on demand power. when the electrical demand of your house is less than what the solar cells are producing than your electrical meter acually starts to spin the other way meaning that your house is producing power and adding it to your local grid system. And by spinning backwards you are saving money as long as you are not using alot of power. The second your ac or if you have electric heat kick on the meter will most surely go back the other way. So yea in theory youll save a few bucks but from what i have gathered they do not offer a very long warrenty on most of these systems and when the sun is not shinning your sol (**** out of luck) And these systems are kind of expensive. so by the time you almost recoupe your investment you will probably be bying some new photvoltaic cells(solar cells ) Wait for the cost of these systems to come down a bit and for the product to improve first. If i am wrong on any of this info please email me the correct info, but i dont think so.
SOLAR PANELS DO NOT WORK WELL ANYWHERE THEY ARE COST INEFFICIANT COMPARED TO YOUR LOCAL UTILITY CO, AND DO NOT REAL ENVIRONMENTAL GOOD , IF YOU ARE TRYING TO FIND A CHEAPER ALTERNATIVE TRY WIND, GENERATED POWER SOME UTILITY CO. WILL PAY YOU FOR YOUR EXCESS POWER
