Why is it on a solar eclipse when we look at the sun our eyes get damaged and not when it is in full glow?

Question:

Answer:
It's not that it's more damaging, it's that people are more likely to try and look at it during an eclipse.
Your eyes get damaged from looking at the sun when "it is in full glow" as well.
Seeing d sun in its full glow doesn't harm d human eye because during full glow d corona of d sun is not visible. During an eclipse d moon covers d sun and d flares that u see around d dark disc is d corona of d sun. The temperature of d corona is thousand times greater than that of d surface of the sun. It is about 2000000 degree Kelvin. Therefore the radiation emitted by the sun is of a greater intensity, so high that when it comes in contact with the iris of d human eye, it completely destroys it. when we use dark glasses, the glasses filter out d harmful rays and allow only light of lesser frequencies to pass through thus reducing d damage to d eye. Looking at d eclipse even through the dark glasses for a long time is not advisable.
The guy above me is right about one thing. The corona is only visible during an eclipse and is much hotter than the sun's surface. HOWEVER, looking at the sun at ANYTIME can damage your eyes.
The corona won't hurt you and is the best thing in a total eclipse. When you look at a normal sun it is so bright your eye iris closes down to protect them. A large partial eclipse is high risk as the total light is reduced and your eye iris opens up to let more light in. But the surface of the partial eclipse is just as hot and burns your retina. You MUST use protection during the partial phase of a total eclipse. The total phase is quite safe but look away quick when it ends. I travel around the world to see eclipses
Refer to my other answers on eclipses -THE SUN IS NOT SAFE TO LOOK AT DURING AN ECLIPSE ! Because of the dimness you are likely to look longer and not feel the burning in your eye. Without an eclipse people dont look at the sun because it is too bright. The corona is not visible but is there. Partial , full or none, proper care should always be taken to observe the sun.
