Are Solar Panels banned in Jamaica?

Question:
Seems a little silly but my dada told me solar panels are banned in Jamaica. Thanks in advance

Answer:
No they most certainly aren't. There are a few at Kings House where the Governor general resides.

Why would they be? Think about it.

Oh, and your welcome.
No they aren't. I've seen solar panels on a particular government site. The way electricity bills are going up now, I'm looking to switch to solar power myself.
