Is there a device, like a solar panel, that will turn heat into electricity?
Question:
Answer:
Look on internet for PELTIER-elements . you should find on the market sophisticated arrays for various purposes and might be able to get a sample from a producer at a price lower than 100 $ to fit your purpose.
These elements normally are used as heat pumps: you have to apply a voltage and then they cool one end and heat the other. You want to do the reverse thing: heating one end and keeping the other cold now must bring out the voltage like from solar panels. So you should pick an array, which normally gives a temperature difference higher than 100 degrees Celsius and the hot and cold side of the array are apart say 50 cm or more.
If you are succesfull running a commercial PELTIER-element in reverse mode, please give me your result on eMail. I also liked this idea for years, but didn't have time to realize the experiment. Data of PELTIER-elements I have available in German language, if is helpful this for you.
Thermocouplers
thermalelectrical transformer?
yes there are such things as solar panels that can be installed on your roof to warm your house.
well, guess wat Heat is Light which is Energy. Remember E=MCsquared?? That means that heat can be light which is energy. Any heat u feel is actually light. Most of it u cant see because it is not visible light. For example, u have infared light, thats the light that is the red light over ur stove or watever. Also, every heard of a microwave?? that uses heat/light of the microwave frequency. There is also gamma and X rays.
even steam machines use heat to produce electricity...lol...there are so many answers to this question that i don't know where to start
