Which part of the earth receives the most solar energy?

Question:

Answer:
I'll go with Sun City, Peru. Check out the news story.
The area on the Earth's surface which is closest to the Sun. This area moves as the Earth rotates and as it revolves around the Sun.
The Tropics. Because that is where direct sunlight hits most of the year. THe earth rotates on its axis which the tropics get all the sunlight.
The equator.
I'm guessing Australia. Most solar research is done there because there are lots of open spaces which receive direct sunlight due to proximity to the equator.
I'm pretty sure it's the areas close to the equator and the equator itself.
EQUATOR
the parts of earth which is close to equitorial line
Around the equator I would imagine.
