Does our stored food get contaminated due to solar eclipse?

Question:
Someone told me so and I don't believe that any chemical change takes place in the atmosphere other than a physical change.

Answer:
There's no physical change anywhere due to a solar eclipse. A solar eclipse is just the moon coming between Earth and the sun during daylight hours. It might feel a little cooler for a few minutes if you're in the area where the totality is visible, but otherwise, that's total superstition.
I'd say the person who said that needs to increase the dosage.
No. Jeeze. That is stupid, don't believe it.
you may counter this effect by having your friend wear his aluminum foil hat...

i.. jeez..what the hell happened to the public school system in this country?!?
No, and neither will your pets get pregnant because of it! ;-)
No it doesn't.
Hindus believes that the stored foods and water becomes poisonous during eclipse. That is why they put one type of grass called derbai in the water pots. I do not understand if there is any scientific evidence for it. But I have seen cases where they advice the pregnant ladies not to do any work during that time. It will get reflected in the body of the child in the stomach. We heard some stray incidents.
