A couple of my solar lights are on in the day and off at night, what is wrong? can they be fixed?

Question:

Answer:
It sounds like they are not seeing enough sunlight in the daytime (so they come on) and that an exterior spotlight is charging them up in the evening (so they go off).
maybe there is a switch or a setting that will allow the light to come on at a certain time like night or day. check on that.
they charge during the day and when full they turn on, during the day, then drain the battery so they are off at night. clean the lens. they are not seeing the light so they dont know if it is dark or light.
did you put the batteries in correctly ?
it sounds like either you got 2 of the 3 wires to the photo cell wired backwards or your getting reflections of light from somewhere. also try wipeing the photo eye with a damp rag. it may be dirty.
Hi it sounds like the moon is bright enough to charge them so they come on during the day, reverse them by keeping them in a dark room for 24 hours then leave them out early so the sun charges rather than the moon!
