Why is it that our solar system seems to be SO isolated? How come there aren't any stars "nearby"?

Question:
Why aren't there atleast fragments of unformed systems close to us - surely there has to be SOMETHING that wasn't quite close enough to get drawn into our system. . . Wierd.

Answer:
Our solar system is tucked into a corner of the galaxy where the stars are scattered far from each other.

The stars are denser closer to its centre.
the solar system setup is perfect in itself. the nearest star we have is the sun, there there is also poxima centauri.

we can only say we are isolated because we cannot reach them by our own means. remember that if these stars were moved a bit closer to our planet. their graviational force will cause us severe changes in our weather and an unpredictable climate, not to add the hazards of gigantic rocks from outer space.

i say we should be thankful for the wonderful planetary setup God has given us.
Well, the nearest star is 2.2 lightyears away. That's pretty close. It's called space for a reason. it's empty.
