Life of solar panels?

Question:
I've heard that solar panels will wear out after about 25 years or so. Is this true? If it is true, do they slowly get worse and worse, or do they just all of a sudden die out? Thanks.

Answer:
both - my experience has been a slow deterioration followed by instant failure
DR. EVIL WHATS GOOD
Well since they are glass you have to worry about immediate breakage also.
I had to install a large solar panel iv the Ecuador jungle and it was great until we got a big wind and it blew the panels all over the jungle.
