I wuz usin my computer n my father gave me a cd..its not normal cd...its a little small...i dunno how to say that type..n i opened it...it wuz kinda stuff advertisin quang ngai investments in vietnem...n after my father watched it, i ejected it n my computer says like "PROPER FILES IN YOUR COMPUTER HAS BEEN REPLACED BY UNRECONIZED FILES. PLEASE INSERT WINDOWS XP PROFESSIONAL CD" and gave 3 options...Retry...More Information...and Cancel...so I did Retry and it says theres no windows xp professional cd...so i click on More Information n its showin bout problems why the cd is not there like it may not be function well..i had no xp pro cd so i had no choice but to click on Cancel so it says like"YOU ARE CHOSING TO REPLACE UNRECOGNIZED FILES AS ORIGINAL FILES.THIS MAY AFFECT WINDOWS STABILITY" like that so i am worried."HOW WILL IT AFFECT THE STABILITY,,,,IS IT DANGEROUS??

I'm gonna tell you some thing but you'll have to need an above said Windows CD, and another thng to notice that this solution will remove your Defaults (like images saved in My Documents) but still the name of your account be the same, ya can find your old configration in C(many windows are installed in c):\Documents and Settings.
The solution: Insert the Windows XP CD into the CD Tray and rebot your comupter, now u'll see the windows installation menu.
On the Setup menu, select R for repair.
Select C to use the Recovery Console as the repair option.
Select the windows installation to repair (select 1 (for the specified windows)).
Enter Administrator Passward if any.
To recover windows problems enter command in the command prompt as FISBOOT to damaged or missing NT boot files.
Run CHKDSK to check the disk.
Type EXIT and remove CD from the tray.
Here you are!
You can try using system restore to restore the OS to the original state before you put in the cd.
Click on Start>Accessories>SYstem Tools> System Restore and then pick the day before yesterday, or the day before you put in the cd.
