Gold or Silver?

Question:
Which is the best investment? Buying gold or silver? Coins or bulk? I plan to invest 5 to 10% of my portfolio. Thanks.
white gold! it looks like a mixture of both!
Are you buying this for the long term? If so, I'd recommend bullion itself, not numismatic coinage. Storage is a consideration though when you buy physical silver.

If you think you're going to be trading it, trying to buy when it's low and sell when it's high, I'd recommend trading the silver ETF. That way you have no storage costs, and you can get in and out instantly with an online stock trading account for a very small commission.
The key to the concept is that gold is the one to invest in for larger amounts of cash most definitely @$100K or more...

For amounts less than @$100K more silver and less gold.

Rule of thumb; "silver is poor mans gold".

Precious metals bought as bullion without the premium prices is the best way to go for a no frills investment.
