Earlier he asked why liberals were so upset about the obscene salery's paid CEO's in America today, at first I gave off the usual litany of why right down to Lay, Ebbers, Koslowski, Skilling, and Nardelli, but he made the staement that CEO's are worth thier weight in gold, I took a moment to do the math, Gold is currently going off at about $679.00 per ounce, 16 oz to the pound and let's say for the sake of arguement the average CEO weighs 200 lbs, OK I'll pay him his weight in gold since it will save the company HUGE money, the CEO Would ONLY be paid about $2,172,800.00 annually I'll settle for that over $20,000,000.00 and invest part in pensions and part in increased hourly wages for ALL employees WOW who thought I could find a place to agree with such backward thinking

It is called the free market. No one is forcing the board of directors at these corporations to pay these guys that kind of compensation and if the stock holders object.they can change out the board.
