Go to the reuters.com website and sign up - it's free. They have stock screeners. Also get their newsletter which has daily reports of their own value screener results (along with contrarian, ROE, and many other screeners they have - updated and sent to you daily with the results.)
I like Charles Schwab screening tools. I think you have to have a brokerage account with them to use the tools. Also marketwatch has screening tools. MSN money has them too. Almost every financial site has something like that - morningstar is another good one.
Try WWW. INVESTOPEDIA.COM
They will provide u with good information on companies financial status ,or info about those companies those have merged ,De merged ,or taken over by some other company ,their effect on share prices.
If you join a3union you may use a very handy stock watcher
http://a3union.com/?id=800012841... the software is free to download but I think it is better to read the entire site and news
It works great for me.
greetings
