Most people that have been protesting the G-8 summits are not clear on the issues. Are you aware that the U.S. wanted higher employee standards, but developing nations balked because it would detract investors? Did you know that one of the G-8 goals is to emlinate world poverty? Are you aware that those individuals would not take those jobs if they had something better and that those jobs increase the competition for employee's and raise standards. That part of the reason E.U.'s formation was to make each other dependent on each other so they would never go to war together again? That free trade naturally lends itself to human rights because you have to have motivated employees? If you have not studied the impact of globization from all sides of the issue, why are you protesting and do truly know what you are protesting about, or did you just get your facts from a flier or a website?

Did you know that you would have more impact if you would write an informed letter your Senator?

Protesters often only listen to soundbites and propaganda. Unfortunately in this day and age it is worse than ever! Common sense is being fought against by lobbyist and yes protesters

Some people protest because they are paid with drugs. It's a job.

Maybe a few don't know and just want to join the crowd, but most protesters have thought about what they are doing. They have written and read about it. In this country, it's very important to respect everyone's right to protest. That's what the founding fathers wanted.

If you don't like it, try moving to North Korea. In Russia, they throw people out of windows or poison them.

It's important to think logically about people who don't look or smell like you. Then you are a happier person who is truly supporting important rights within the US.
