You could maybe, invest indirectly.. buy ( mining and drilling or machinery companies stock...etc

There are at least 3 ways.
1. buy GLD. It is an index fund indexed to the price of gold. It trades like a stock less expenses.

2. buy shares in a gold mining company such as ABX or several dozen others that are available.

3. buy options in shares of a gold mining company. That gives you your greatest leverage and also your greatest risk.

4. you can also get leverage by buying shares in a marginal gold mining company--one that is marginally profitable. An increase in the price of gold means a big increase in their profits. ABX is probably the most profitable gold mining company so it gives you the least leverage, but is a relatively safe investment.
