Will Bush's new plan to eliminate waste in government work?

President Bush today unveiled a five year, $20 Billion plan to cut wasteful spending by up to $250 million dollars a year. The plan, officially called "No Dollar Left Behind", will target wasteful spending in all areas of the budget, starting with the 2008 fiscal year, where the President hopes to see savings of $75 million. Eventually, in the fifth year of the plan, the President hopes that $250 million dollars of waste will be trimmed annually.


President Bush announces his $20 billion plan for a new government agency to cut waste by up to $250 million a year.
"We must make this investment in cutting our government waste today if we want to see savings tomorrow" said the President. "Hard choices have to be made to get a hold of spiraling Federal Budgets. By taking this step, we are beginning the important process of developing fiscal responsibility."

The plan calls the creation of a Department of Government Accountability that will employee over 4,500 accountants

NATCA (National Air Traffic Controllers Association) supported neo-cons. Yet now, they have become victims of the very people they supported. Reagan launched an all out assault on the federal workforce. They prefer to steer tax dollars to their defense contractors.
