I realize that as a guy you are only able to come from the guy's perspective, but you might be interested to know two things:
1. The characteristics you describe also apply to some guys with women, that women become more attractive the richer they look; and
2. The characteristics you describe whether exhibited by guys or girls are possessed by the shallower specimen of the gender. People with the ability to feel deeply and to think deeply, and go the distance are not swayed or attracted by surface wealth only.
Of course they do, that is they main requirements

Sounds as if you are just surrounding yourself with golddiggers. Not all women are golddiggers or dumber than rocks. There are many beautiful, smart, classy, & self-sufficent women out there. You may just be overlooking them.
I'm not particularly attracted to a wealthy man. Actually, I tend to be less attracted those those that show off their wealth with fancy clothes and cars. Makes them look arrogant. I prefer my guys in well worn clothes and boots that show that they're a rugged guy that's not afraid to work hard. Nothing sexier than a pair of Carhartts.
But then...I guess I'm not a typical girl. It's nice to have a guy than can take you out to a movie or dinner and not have to worry about his money too much.but that's really as far as I go. I don't want fancy gifts or anything. I don't care for expensive cars.
As for "A diamond is a girl's best friend".I don't actually LIKE jewels myself. I think they're guady, pointless, and jewelry just gets in the way. I'd be more likely to wear something of sentimental importance on a chain or string around my neck (currently, I have a bullet shell from my last day of my college Firearms class on a cord around my neck)...no diamond rings for me!
I think the money issue comes up only if you let it. I have know plenty of women who dont care for the money.
Personally - I'm not. That is why I work to have my own money. However - its nice when he has enough money to take you to a restaurant that isn't Burger King or McDonalds. I don't like men who flaunt their money.

actually i disagree , maybe some women do care about looks that's why suits and jewelery are more attractive in their eyes but have u ever thought that we do like men in suits so it doesn't have to be about how rich u are , it's just about taking care of the way u lookand let me say it isn't abll about how handsome u are , the personality plays a big role too coz u can be totally handsome but absolutely dumb so what's the point of dating such a guy then ... good luck, it's all about right choices ...
WEll it depends...what type of women is she..well every one need money...but some need more then need..and that type of women are sick i guess.need of money depends on ones nature eating habbits societies circule..

well not really .it aslo depends on the type of person you may be looking for.not all women go for the money
some not all..if i saw a guy in armani the first thought i would think would be "damn! i love armani" but i personelly love a guy who's comfortable with himself and is a nice guy.
of course there will always be golddiggers out there, its just a matter o fact of sorting thru them.

One word pal "yes" they don't like to admit it but wemen want someone that can provide for them. Rich guys tend to fit the bill. The more bling the better they like you. You should try going to a third world country, the babes are amazing, ya gotta beat em off with a stick. but take my advice don't get married. my wife went to Indonesia for a month and I had one thousand eight hundred extra dollars that month, and that's after I paid for her ticket and gave her spending money. Stick to the dumb ones they are easy.
i think its stupid when girls get more attracted to money or looks than personality..thats not important to me at all..i think its straight up stupid..
1 - some women are, not every woman. Your last girlfriend seems to have been one of them
2 - if you wear armani/k. cole, etc. you look more handsome even if you are not really good looking. More dressed up

The finer things in life are great but i believe if a woman wants them she should get them herself and not through the man she is with. Maybe it is the places your meeting these women. Next time you put on your Kenneth Cole or Armani go for the woman who doesn't give you a second look. If you don't like the gold-diggers and dumb woman why bother with them?
It's not that they are money struck its just that they are attracted by a well dressed well groomed man. My preference is a man who is not afraid to get his hands dirty and knows the value of a dollar.
not really. I've never gone out with anyone extremely rich before in my life. but then again, I'm rather simple minded.. all I want in relationships it seems is simple kinda crap. aka. hugs holding hands and blah blah. whatever yeah basically. all females are NOT golddiggers
Most women are attracted to money, but not all of them.
A lot of girls are attracted to money alright. There are very few who aren't. It is really sad but true. But there are a LOT of men out there that are after the very same thing. They look for a woman who has a good job and will take care of them.
