What would be some benefits or reasons for transferring undergraduate universities/colleges?
Question:
Answer:
Unless there is some specific flaw, you will be extremely hard pressed to beat what you have. Rutgers is very well thought of and you appear to have all your expenses paid (in-state with significant amount of aid.) I would not change for any of the reasons you are offering.
The usual reasons for transferring are a change of interests on the part of the student or the loss of a professor or some other aspect of the intended program not working out.
If you are going to transfer, I would suggest that two solid years of basic work would be easier to transfer and would show you can do the work. I would expect a degree from Rutgers with good grades would stand you in good stead in most MBA programs in the country.
Transferring almost always loses credits because of an inexact match between courses. It may also delay you because you may have to take courses you were credited with because you find you don't know what is taught in them because of course mismatch [from my own experience.]
Wait, why do you want to transfer? Just because you want a more prestigous school? I think you should stay where you are and not make things any more complicated than they are. The important thing is that you are going to college and to be honest, I don't think anyone will care that much as long as you get your degree!
