Major Buiness for Undergrad for MBA?

Question:
I will be attending UC Berkeley this fall, but I am not sure if I want to try to go to their Haas Business Undergrad because I hear that getting an MBA is harder if you have an undergrad business degree. Is this true?
I am hoping to get an MBA from maybe Columbia, or UPenn?
Any suggestions?

Answer:
I have an undergrad business degree and I was admitted to twelve MBA programs, so I don't think it's true. Although it's harder to get back into the same university for an MBA, but it sounds like you don't want to go to the same school for both. In my opinion, getting into an MBA program is a combination of undergrad GPA, GMAT score and resume. If you're undergrad degree is not in business, you will be less likely to get work experience that will impress admissions. If you have a very high undergrad GPA and GMAT score, you will have a good chance of getting into an MBA program, even if you don't have work experience.
