Is Harvard buiness school worth the costs?

Question:
My son who will be a senior this year is getting a lot of attention from the Ivy league schools, namely Harvard and Yale, about their business degree programs. I'm trying to encourage him to apply but I'm not sure if the cost of a undergraduate degree from these schools is worth the costs. After that, then comes the MBA degree. Is it really worth it or is getting a MBA from Harvard really "all that"?

Answer:
Yes. The education will be about the same as from other MBA programs, but their is a hidden benefit from the top tier schools like Harvard and Yale: connections. These schools tend to have no problem getting their graduates jobs in top companies, because their alumni hold top executive positions in those companies.
Yes.
scuse me? hahaha

of course it is. WOW
Yes. Not only is the degree representative of one of the top educations in the world, the contacts you make while attending these schools is worth much more than the degree itself.
Yes. The contacts made in these schools alone will be of great benefit in the future.
Yup.
Yes...It's not just the education, but the people you meet. Many will be powerful business people, who are good to know.
If you go to harvard you may be able to pay back whatever you used with just your first job, so i say yes.
I'd sit down with your son and crunch the numbers, but I think you'll find that they add up in Harvard's favor. One thing you might want to consider, though, is having your son go to a less expensive undergrad, do well, and go to Harvard for his MBA. After all, getting into Harvard undergrad is no guarantee that he'll get into their MBA program.
