An engineer should pursue MBA or Master in engineering related field?
Question:
Answer:
I've known people who obtained MBAs and those who obtained Masters degrees.
Ask these questions of yourself:
-Are you good with numbers?
-Do you prefer working with numbers or mechanical objects/tools?
-Do you want to manage *people* or *projects*?
-Will you have a good command of the language where you will have your job?
If all of these are true, the MBA is a good program for you.
If you are better with projects than with people, (that is, you prefer to build things rather than manage people) then the Masters degree is better. One thing to consider: your future employer should say what Masters degree and what thesis they want, and *how much more* they will pay you if you get it.
If they will only pay 3% more per year, don't get the Masters degree. I know many engineers that obtained the Masters degree and can't find jobs, or are underpaid - a BS degree is enough.
A PhD degree will pay much more, but even then, only if the employer is willing to give you the job. It is up to you to confirm that the job will be high paying *BEFORE* you get the graduate degree.
P.S. I apologize for the comments of the first answerer - he is worried he will lose his job to someone who is willing to work hard to get an advanced degree. He is correct that a college graduate must have excellent communication skills to get respect in the working world.
Good lord, ask this in your own damn country. There are some handy buttons down at the bottom of the screen that you can use to ask this question in an area that would be appropriate for your inability to speak English. If you are from America, then why are you trying to be an engineer? You should stick to what you are best at and clean my damn floor.
In case you don't understand my hostility, look at your question again. If you don't get it then you deserve my hate and scorn.
Call me an idealist, but I believe everyone that participates in a higher education curriculum should be able to use proper grammar and sentence structure.
for an engineer , if he would like to work at field , and projects , a B.SC. is enough , he will learn financial issues by experience , but for higher degrees , it will lead for teaching in universities
do masters in engineering
MBA will make u executive.

To Kadaj: which other language do u speak fluent? if none then u've zero right to say anything about LiangJin language, cause he's better off than u
To LiangJin: if you want to be in management go for MBA but if u want to stay in the field study MSc. U can also do both, u can start with MSc now then later after 5yrs or more, u go for MBA.
