An MBA can earn more than a lakh as per his qualification and expereience.In starting an MBA gets more than 15,000 and by his expereience and prformance he gets more and more salary.
That could be a tricky question, should be a bit more specific ... even with a MBA. if you didnt get a job that required it in that field for instance, say if you were working at McDonalds... would be totally different than if you were working in a good field . y'know?

that's a difficult one it could be from 20K to sky high depends on experience and age..
Not sure about the average but from experience I wish to point out the following.
Being in middle management and having worked my way up the career ladder, I find myself in the unenviable position of not being able to progress any further without risking my home and my life style. According to most employers, to progress to the next level, applicants should be educated to a degree level or the equivalent.
For myself to achieve this would mean committing myself when I can least afford to, to complete a course.
My question is therefore how many opportunities have I missed out on due to not having a degree?
I now have to work overtime to have a better standard of living but will waste away many of my years working chasing the dream.
Learn from experience. Get the degree because once you have it, no one can take it away from you. Sacrifice your few early years instead of most of your latter years and work only 36 hours a week, not 72. I wish I had.
Most MBA "Career Development" (or similar) offices publish this information annually to track the delta between salaries coming in and going out. They even break it down by area of specialty (e.g. finance, consulting, marketing, etc.), geography (Midwest, Southeast, Asia, etc.). Out of Duke's MBA school, for example, newly minted MBAs averaged about $82K base last year if I remember the report correctly. Harvard and Wharton MBAs make more. Cleveland Community College MBAs make far, far less on average.
