Where should I go to get my PhD in continental political philosophy in the USA?

Question:
I have a dual bachelors in Political Science and Asian studies from Temple University. I am currently earning my Masters Degree in Literature, Religion and Philosophy at the University of Sussex (UK)

Answer:
If you are interested in political philosophy and considering studying in the USA - the big question facing you is are you interested in studying in a Straussian department, or not. Many American grad schools in political theory are carved up into rival camps. If you are interested in studying continental philosophy, why do it from a different continent?

Honestly, this is way too important a question to be considering through AnswersRoom.com.
I have a BS in Engineering from Maryland, and my PhD is from Calgary in Alberta Canada. There is no reason why you have to stay in the states and if you do well in your studies "abroad" you become more valuable.
Find someone in the field that you want to study with, and go there. If you have no idea who you want to study with, I suggest going to as many conferences as possible until you find a pal.

Also, dont go to a university that doesnt pay you to be there, if youre lucky enough to get money.

I agree with the above about this being too important for AnswersRoom.com, but if this helps out, I'm glad for it.
