MBAs: Has the MBA degree really advanced your career as expected?

Most MBAs in the US don't. They only do when a person graduates from a top tier school, maybe even second tier. The problem is that there are soooo many MBAs that the degree is devalued. Usually an MBA will only add 5-10k a year of your salary.
