Does successful management has something to do with the cultural background of the manager?

This was a research question conducted by a large corporation many, many decades ago. Is it a relevant Qx in the modern global economy?

Answer:
Depends on the culture of the manager and the people being managed. Whether they are from the same culture or not! Some culture are more submissive than others and for some business it is good to have a leader and followers; while the same may not apply in others!
