Do you know how a new MBA /marketing graduate can get hired in the Media without having journalist experience?

Question:
I've always been interested in the media producing or advertisement. I changed my career field from legal for 10 years, but I'm not ready to go back to school for Journalism especially after I've already done 4 years to obtain this degree. I was told a MBA will open many doors but I'm so ready to get into a career field I would love to stay in- grow with- and become the best at it. Any suggestions or organizations that can help me decide what this MBA /mkt degree will do for me and how I can make it work. I have looked into Forums but none has come to my state considering this matter.

Answer:
I would suggest two steps.

First of all, you will need to target your resume to the media positions you are interested in. Using a general resume that you send out to all jobs/industries doesn't work well.

And second, you should look into career coaching or counseling.
I always beleive in that you do not need to go back to school.
My policy is you learn something new every day.
If you take a look at Bill Gates he did not finish college at all.
And look where he is at today with out that degree.
