Please comment on doing a MBA Degree from USA.?

Question:
Hi,

I am 24/male/IT, the most competitive area for today's indian graduates. Presently i am working as a developer for a MNC in new Delhi. I want to pursue my MBA, but i plan to do it after two years. I want to get into atleast one of the top 50 (world) schools. I am yet to give my GMAT and i am delaying it because i do not want my score to get outdated. Could you please suggest me that what do i do, apart from completing GMAT with a good score, so that it may help me into getting my MBA degree from school of my desire. I have plenty of time after i complete my job so please let me know if there are any specific courses or some books that i can go through which would help me in my admissions.

Thanks and Regards,
Sahcin Arora.

Answer:
First, don't worry about 'outdated' scores - the scores are good for 5 years, and are completely valid. Second, get a subscription to the Harvard Business Review and the Financial Times, and the Economist - all three have webpages you can find easily online. Another good thing to read that most people don't realize are biographies of the most successful businessmen of the USA - Henry Ford, John D. Rockefeller, and anyone else who made a fortune and an impact, it gives a lot of insight into how business is run, and what makes one a successful businessman and CEO. You will need to focus on finance, business law (of the USA), business strategy, management strategy, accounting, marketing, and technology. Another thing worth looking over that most don't realize are books on Organizational Psychology, and psychology journals on organizational/industrial psychology. The study of business psychology is extremely important but almost always ignored in MBA programs, and extensive knowledge of this would give you an edge on other applicants.

Good luck!
Get your greencard. Start from scratch in America and in six years you will have an MBA. Double-major and have two and many fields you can get an AA just because of the coursework you did.
best b schools requires 3 to 4 years of work exp n a avg Gmat score of about 680+ u should have thorough knowldge of ur field and more importantly u need to have a global view
