Is MBA necessary for the position of Business analyst?

Question:
I am a computer science graduate with 2 yrs of experince in a Software Company. I want to pursue my career as an BA. But I dont have a Mangagement degree. Is MBA really necessary for the position of BA.Kindly reply.
An MBA will certainly help, but it's not necessary if you have the right amount of business experience. "Business analyst" can also refer to a number of different positions; some analysts focus on IT projects and others on more non-IT-oriented stuff. As long as you have some decent non-IT project management experience you should be OK for almost any business analyst position.
