I am a law student all set to shift in IT.is it necessary to have an IT degree like bca or BE ot Btech.?
Question:
Answer:
dont put too many eggs in a basket dude! plan one thing at a time..dont b confused...if u plan a career in IT field, u ve enough of necessary skills..remember dere r specific domains in a IT firm..no one expects u 2 learn all skills like database, java etc...learn things which u r most comfortable with..dont try 2 b a 'jack of all trades' rather b a pro in one trade..as for ur querry regarding IT degree..well dude..BE/BTECH degree is d most valuable and most respected in any IT company..and 2 b honest d companies prefer degree holders 2 ppl widout one..if doing such a degree is not viable go to NIIT and enroll in their GNIIT course..wat i ve heard dat de give necessary training and also decent placements for non bca/be/btech...as for ur querry regarding mba..well dats a different story altogether..contact concellors of intitutes like IMS/TIME 2 know when and where frm u should do ur mba..de ll help u out..dont worry abt sap..most it companies have their own exhaustive training prog in sap..u ll b learning once u get placed in a IT firm.
hope i ve answered all ur questions...al d best..ciao!
dont go into IT. u wont find a job, unless youre a foreigner, which it sounds like you are.
