How can a business major be applied to a career in environmental preservation?

Question:
Helping to solve the world's environmental problems has always been a childhood dream(i.e. global warming, pollution, etc). This year, my senior year in highschool, I found that I enjoy business administration and economics. I did some research and eco.org says that "environmental work is inherently interdisciplinary - involving science, politics, cultural studies, economics, management"

Does anyone know what "envrionmental" jobs a business administration/economics major can be applied to?

I'm also considering a double major/minor in environmental science or a physical science.

Any feedback or advice is appreciated! =]

Answer:
The education teaches you how to manipulate business resources to maximize business objectives.

If you are in the driver's seat, you can chose to have a green perspective in your business objectives. Most CEOS are very green in their outlooks, contrary to Hollywood's depictions of them.

Exxon surely didn't want the Valdez to hit the rocks. But it took a very green CEO to put as much effort into the cleanup as they did. You can be part of the new generation that does it right and gets blamed for not doing it right by Hollywood...
