Answer:
well i was looking at the same type of thing for myself, but, if you are that far, why not just add a few more courses and get both, when you go for a job, just specify the one that is needed, and that will take care of being over qualified if you know what i mean.
as for the rest, you will be fine which ever route u take, u sound like a person with a head on ur shoulders.
Definately MS. (which I thought was called MSc, but I guess it depends which country).
I'd never hire an MBA because he had an MBA, especially if it's for a science related job. Plus, banks and venture capitalists usually don't care if you have an MBA.
I know MBAs who have terrible jobs, making just above minimum wage, but not many people with a masters in science in that situation. Pursue the science as far as you can, it'll open up more opportunities for you.
MS is a specific degree that will increase your knowledge in a specific area, for instance engineering. MBA is a general degree that is needed to run any business and will be handy when you want to run your own business. MBAs hire and fire scientists based on return on investment and performance. Scientists are "brains for sale" while MBAs are "puppet masters". SO if you are going to have your own business (puppet show), better learn how to be a "puppet master" and run the show profitably. With a MS & MBA you will know the "Puppets Job" and how to maneuver the "puppets" effectively like a smart game of chess. All the best.
You must get experience and the knowledge to conduct your venture.
You wrote "I wish to start my own venture at some point of time in my life".
Find a job do the job and go for MBA in the evening part time.
