Any recommendations on doing MBA in singapore?

Question:
Please redirect me to a better category if this is meant only for travelling to singapore (didn't find any other suitable category so far in AnswersRoom.com).

1) I am currently looking at MDIS (management development institute of singapore) - it is offering intakes throughout the year - the others seem to offer July or Jan/Feb intakes. I am looking at entering around Aug/Sep. I am going to miss the window for July intake.

2) I am constantly getting conflicting information about students working. Can a full time MBA student partake in a partime job? Any type of job or is it limited to past experience or degree (I have bachelors in engineering and have been a software engineer for a long time but kind of want to do something else as part time work).

3) is there another forum in AnswersRoom.com to talk more about the culture etc.? my luck in trying to find penpals in friendster etc., isn't exactly working out successfully.

Thanks a bunch.

Regarding work: Are you currently working in Singapore with valid work permit/employment pass/permenant residence or are you in Singapore on students visa? Best check with ica website below:

MBA is also available as a part-time course. The normal admission is 2 years working experience. Some institution requires you to take GMAT and other exams before entry into MBA, whereas others do not.

If you intend to take part-time, they are normally held in the evenings and weekends. There are also other institutions like Kaplan, for example. NUS also offers this program.
i recommend NUS business school. i heard its quite good.
