MBA or Law School?
Question:
I wouldn't even be swaying, but my cousin thinks that law school is the end all, be all. He says I can make "boat loads" of money if I become a tax attorney.
Answer:
This is gonna sound funny. I have a Law degree from Venezuela and an MBA from the U.S.A. Well, remember that there are a lot of MBA's in this country and there are also a lot of attorneys as well. Attorneys make a lot of money, and not necessarily MBA's. I would suggest to go for something more specialized than an MBA since the program is really general.
If money is your only goal...is more education the only answer? If you are not happy with your current situation, you might be able to start a business or something. Just a thought...I would say that you should consider researching the fields and talk to people you know in each. You should have connections, given the fact you are a CPA.
I think you should consider a road that will lead to your overall happiness. If it is $$$$$$$ only, then maybe tax attorney is the way to go (yawn!!!).
If you get into a good school, you can usually double major in both.
Do the one that you like more. Both jobs suck if you do not like them. You can make a boat load of money in either one, just matters how hard you work.
