I have a small pension ( under £15k ) Can I cash it in by myself or do I need to pay an financial advisor?

Question:
Been advised that I can convert this to a cash payment. but my financial advisor want's £600 to do the work for me. Think he is blufffing by saying you can not do it without help.

Answer:
Deal with the pension company directly. It's YOUR pension and you can easily speak to someone from the pension company.
You can do it yourself. Write to the pension provider and say you want to commute your pension on the grounds of triviality. They'll send you a form.

That's £600 please.
you could go to your local bank and ask to speak to their finacial planners, they do not charge and should be able to give you some worth while advice.
Speak to the pension company or if it si a works pension the people running the scheme should be able to help you.
