As a business owner do I need to provide an outside financial advisor/educator for my employees?

Question:
As required in the Pension Protection Act of 2006.

Answer:
No it is not your responsibility to provide and pay for financial advisers etc. Depending on what retirement plan your company is using. The government will provide advisers to those who want to have a say in how their investment is being used. In the past it was the individuals responsibility to take care of his/her own account, but now they have access to a professional investment councillor to help them. It has to do with whoever is handling the retirement account. NOT the owner of the company. Go to Pension Protection Act 2006 page it gives an overview.
