Will I be happier if I give up my own small law practice and become a big firm partner or a financial advisor?

Question:
I'm 38 and burned out. Considering a career change to a financial advisor but am wondering if practicing in a different environment such as taking an outstanding offer to joing a large firm as a partner should be tried first. I have been told from a friend who gave up law that I can potentially make more $ as a FA, have alot lot stress and work alot less hours after the first several years. I would appreciate others' comments - especially any attorneys turned financial advisors out there. I want to get my life back!

Answer:
No one can answer that question except you.
happyness is all about satisfaction... u can anytime start up the law practise... so if u have in back of your ind that you can be haapyin soemthing else... go for it... if it doesn't suites... come back to the normal place... u r a lucky one... u can switch easily... ok.. n best of luck...
YES, YES, AND YES! If you open your OWN business where you are the boss, you will make more cash; because there is no one else to judge how much dough you recieve.
Of course it depends on what you specialize in. My friend specializes in probate and estate law and lives quite well and the stress isn't too bad either.

I think i would give the large firm a go first.
Its time to leave society, move to the mountaintop and become a guru. If you cant do that then OBEY the following rules.

Rule #1 - We dont live to work.
Rule #2 - We work so we can have fun.
Rule #3 - Most important rule - Go have fun. Volunteer somewhere (not doing pro bonos). Enjoy your family and friends. Life is short.
