Has anybody gone for an interview for a Financial Advisor position? What kind of questions do they ask?

Question:

Answer:
A financial Advisor position is a salesperson first, and any FA stuff is a distant second. They just want you to sit at a telephone and cold call as many people as you can, then if someone takes the bait, a "more senior" FA will take over and help you.

Usually the products are already defined and prepared, and you need to be concerned with their features, benefits etc. You just need to know how to get suckers, oops, I mean, valued clients, to buy them.

You may think that if you have financial knowledge, you will be favored. No so. If you have financial knowledge AND selling attitude, yes that's an advantage. But just knowledge alone is not sufficient - remember they want salespeople.
