How much does one tip a financial advisor?

Question:
this is a yearly gesture or a bonus due to good returns.

Answer:
They are not supposed to accept them.
Their "tip" is the commissions they make on your account. Perhaps for a job well done, a token gift card or flowers or something
Technically it would be illegal for any kind of large "gift" a nice card, or thank you, or take your advisor to dinner would be fine.
